In the aviation and aerospace industries, Permacel tape P-50 can serve as a protective cushion against vibrations on smooth surfaces such as glass or metal. It also meets the Boeing specifications BAC 5034 Type IV, BAC 5578, and BAC 5657.

Permacel double-sided tape is approximately 17 mils thick with the liner and 13 mils without it. The tape offers 4.5 percent elongation and a tensile strength of 45 pounds per inch. For the best results, use P-50 only on clean, oil- and moisture-free surfaces. When storing P-50 between uses, it should be kept out of sunlight in a location that is between 50 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
