We engineered 3M™ Cloth Roll 747D with a blend of aluminum oxide and 3M™ Ceramic Abrasive Grain on a semi-flexible, X-weight cloth backing. This blend of aluminum oxide and 3M™ Ceramic Abrasive Grain produces an excellent cut rate. Our Cloth Roll 747D is resin-bonded on a cotton backing for heat resistance. The durable backing is designed to withstand aggressive sanding and grinding as well as features an anti-friction coating that helps the abrasive run smooth, reducing premature wear of platens that remain static while grinding. We also constructed this cloth roll with a grinding aid, an added coating that helps the abrasive stay cool during grinding, in order to minimize heat and improve overall performance.
