Shrink tape is a special kind of industrial tape. It's designed to wrap and seal a part in a flexible plastic film that shrinks to fit the contour of the part when heat is applied. It's similar to heat wrap, which is used to seal and secure the packaging of many products. Industrial uses of shrink wrap include the sealing and waterproofing power and communication cable joints.
Shrink tape is flexible enough to conform to just about any shape. The tape squeezes and constricts around the object it’s been wrapped to as heat is applied. The compressive force generated by the constrictive shrinking is enough to laminate several layers of tape.

The A 575 high shrink tape is a flexible polyester tape ideally suited for mandrel wrapping aircraft tubular parts, golf shafts, tennis rackets, fishing rods, etc. The 575 RC is coated with a non-silicone release agent for direct release, eliminating the need for release films or fabrics. Both are available with a P3 perforation for the evacuation of volatile and have a shelf life of 18 months from the month of shipment.
